Jill Robinson
Before dating I always admired my husband who was playing guitar and leading worship on stage at our church. So much that I made the first move and asked him out for coffee! And he shot me down! I always tease him about not liking me at first, and he isn’t afraid to tell everyone that it’s the truth!
Growing up I lived on an apple orchard in the mountains of North Carolina! It was so fun to walk out my back door and just pick a fresh snack right off the tree! Living there also taught me about hard work. My step-father and his parents solely ran the orchard; they would get off from their first job and go straight to working in the orchard to provide for their family.
My husband and I both work for the state of North Carolina in the Department of Public Safety. I am Probation Officer and he is a Correctional Officer. One of our favorite activities is practicing shooting at the gun range. Shhh…don’t tell him I have the better shot!
I grew up my whole life without knowing my father. I suffered a tremendous hurt from this for many years, that’s why I started my platform “Victim to Victor” The Movement. I wanted to let those hurting understand that although you might be a victim of a circumstance it will never define you! You can rise above any situation and conquer it! Even better, you will be a Victor over it!
