1. As an International Spokesperson for Soles4Souls who helps provide shoes to over 127 countries for those in need, I travel the world raising awareness of their efforts and collecting shoes. Being an avid traveler for almost two decades, I have been to seven countries and over 85% of the United States connecting with Olympians, professional athletes and celebrities.
2. My current job role started as a student-worker on a grounds crew which eventually led to designing, building and helping lead the efforts in over $340 million dollars in athletic facilities. Building for my husband and I’s alma matter and telling the Husker story through integrated branding is a daily honor! The work has been nationally recognized and includes an International Telly Award.
3. My favorite season is fall because our family love’s football (and all sports in general)! We are huge Nebraska Husker fans, especially since my husband Fred is a former Nebraska football player and I was captain of the Nebraska Track and Field Team.
4. Growing up, I loved making obstacle courses in our backyard and now have the honor to help raise money for Soles4Souls competing for them as an elite obstacle course racer including capturing 2nd place in the Worlds Toughest Mudder. 25% of all race winnings go directly to Soles4Souls.
