Tiffany Love ~ Top Ten
Tiffany resides in Nashville, TN with her husband Melvin Love. She is a Licensed Certified Social Worker, with a M.S.W in Clinical Social Work, and a B.S. in Education from East Tennessee State University. While working as a Psychiatric Social Worker for the Department of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center; Tiffany is pursuing her Doctorate in Psychology.
Since the age of seven Tiffany has competed in sports. A living testimony of her platform; Tiffany received a four year track and field scholarship. Tiffany implemented a statewide campaign, “Get in Shape in 2008! The Bene(FIT)s of Sports Participation in the Lives of Tennesseans,” including three perspectives: Education, Mental & Physical Fitness, and Overall Health. She organized a statewide road race and several sports clinics educating Tennesseans on living a healthy lifestyle. Tiffany received a Proclamation from Governor Phil Bredesen, implementing her platform into TN schools. She travels and makes presentations as the Official Spokesperson for the State of Tennessee Department of Education and School Health. Tiffany met with the State of Tennessee Commissioner of Health to increase awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. She also met with the State of Tennessee Board of Education, and the State of Tennessee Commissioner of Education to increase physical activities in schools. She earned national recognition when her platform was featured in “The Tennessean,” as well as by the Associated Press. She was featured in the January 7, 2008 issue of JET Magazine. Tiffany hopes to one day compete in the Olympic Games.
Tiffany has a positive reinforcing non-profit organization entitled, “TT4C” (Tenacious Teens 4 Christ). She helps teens become involved in positive activities which build life skills, further education, and prepares teens for adulthood. For more info please visit www.tteens4christ.org.
