1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
I have a very supportive family and amid this pandemic, I am grateful that they are all safe and healthy. I feel blessed that I can pick up my phone and talk to them and rely on them. My family has always been my pillar of strength. Even during the toughest phases of my life, I never felt alone because they were there to remind me of my strengths and help me conquer my fears.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
The biggest change I am looking for is to allow myself some time to relax. As a full-time working mother of a sweet one-year-old, I am constantly on the go. This leaves me with no time to recharge myself. I want to take out some time to meditate and enjoy some free time which would help me be more efficient.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
Being able to make a positive impact in someone's life is the best feeling in the world. Ralph Waldo Emerson said "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."
4.What is the most random fact you know?
Growing up, some teachers made me feel that I wasn’t smart enough. Despite having two master’s degrees and a successful career, I couldn’t let go of that feeling. At a recent event, I spoke about ‘pursuing your dreams’ to youth. There, a young girl told me how she wants to be like me in the future. It made me realize that I was much more than what I felt and had the power to inspire young minds.
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
There is nothing more contagious than the laughter of a child. It is carefree, straight from the heart, and filled with innocence. This sound of laughter motivates me, moves me, and inspires me to do things for children all over the world. It is a big part of the reason why I am associated with Hope B.
