1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
Growing up surrounded by immigrants, I heard so many stories about the hardships that were overcome to have a better life. As a survivor of two terrorist attacks, I’ve learned to take nothing for granted. This upbringing and these challenges have helped me develop a resilient attitude, and I am grateful that I remain unafraid to dream big even when tough times make big dreams seem out of reach.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
Truly dedicating myself to a healthy lifestyle. Growing up, my dad was a body builder. Going to the gym was a way of life in my family. While I’ve most certainly maintained great physical fitness, I’ve inherited the dreaded sweet tooth shared by my father and paternal grandmother. Reducing sugar intake and focusing more on maintaining healthy nutrition is a major focus to improve my life as I get older.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
Watching my son grow and learn has been incredibly rewarding, and nothing beats the feeling of hearing his teachers, friends and even strangers comment on how polite and empathetic he is. Seeing his kindness for others from all walks of life is the most satisfying part of being a mom, and I am proud to be raising a boy that will become a man that is a positive contributor to society.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
The book “The Science of Fear†by Dan Gardner changed my life! It helped me better understand how information can be presented to elicit an emotional response. It also helped me understand how the behaviors that have helped mankind survive for centuries can be harmful if not properly accounted for today. Understanding this helped me overcome severe anxiety about the dangers in the world today.
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
There is no sweeter sound than the pre-dawn chirping of birds on a summer morning. The silence of the everyday hustle and bustle as the sun rises and nature sings God’s praises is the best way to start the day.
