1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
As a young girl, I looked up to both my mom and my sister and knew that's what I wanted to be when I grew up: strong, resilient, empathetic and kind. Every day, I remind myself that my children and the children I mentor now look to me to be that example. Knowing they need me to guide them pushes me each day and encourages me to never give up.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
One of our favorite things to do as a family is to be outside kayaking, four-wheeling or hiking. We spent one Christmas four-wheeling through the outdoors and it's one of my favorite memories! My perfect day would be to provide more memories like that to my children. We believe experiences are better than things. While I do love gift giving, I have fonder memories of the times we spent together.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
One of my favorite quotes is: "If you want to change the world, go home and love your family." While the majority of my work impacts people outside of my family, I make a great effort to show and teach my children how to go be good people. We will have the greatest impact on the world's future if we focus on future generations while they're still young.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
Before my mom met my adoptive dad, she raised five children on her own with help from her parents. Some of my favorite memories are from summers at my grandparents' home before video games and easy access to internet. In my kitchen, I have my grandfather's Thomas Edison radio, which I fixed and love to listen to while baking. It reminds me of summer days and a home filled with love.
